Account Manager

The Role

We are looking for an ambitious, results-driven Account Manager to join our dynamic agency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing client relationships and driving success for accounts. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong communication skills who can ensure the satisfaction and growth of our clients while coordinating with internal teams to execute creative solutions. As an Account Manager, you will be building and managing client relationships, understanding their business goals and objectives, providing solutions to address their marketing needs, and leading the delivery of creative solutions. You will be working in our Account Management team, closely collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer.


  • Client Acquisition:
    • Proactively initiate consultation meetings from new leads to understand their business model, goals, and marketing needs
    • Present Custom Media as an ideal long-term, strategic partner for innovative marketing solutions
    • Lead the internal team in creating marketing proposals and winning pitch presentations to gain new business
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Regular communication and liaison with clients, proactively keeping up-to-date with the clients’ business and relevant news
    • Identifying client needs and opportunities for the company, and communicating internally to develop feasible solutions for the client
    • Creating estimates, negotiating contract terms and scope of work with clients
  • High-level Campaign Management:
    • Oversee clients’ marketing projects and advertising campaigns on a broad level, communicating with project managers to ensure client satisfaction
    • Communicate effectively with the team on the client’s latest objectives, goals, and needs
    • Give directions to the creative team on client preferences, nuances, and overall feedback
    • Check all deliverables to ensure the client is getting what has been promised
    • Seek and negotiate scope of work and costs with external vendors and partners

Qualifications & Experience

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management or a similar field
  • A quicker learner, able to work and think independently and flexibly
  • Ability to follow instructions/company processes, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to solve problems with creative solutions and sound judgment
  • Knowledge across multiple Go-To-Market channels and marketing tactics
  • Ability to capture important details from meetings and deliver clear internal briefs
  • The personality to deliver a great ideas to a client and within the team
  • Ability to liaise between the client and the internal creative team, digesting feedback for the team as necessary
  • An understanding and experience of the marketing brought with you from previous agency or direct client experience
  • Strong digital marketing experience working with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIN and Google Suite
  • Agency marketing experience preferred, but not mandatory
  • Client management/customer service experience, knows how to build strong long-standing client relationships
  • Project Management experience is a plus, preferably in integrated marketing programs

Working Hours

  • 9:30am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday
  • Work from home and / or office flexibility
