Custom Media has worked closely with Canning & Associates to create a variety of print collateral such as brochures and flyers. In 2016 the bilingual professional training and consulting company changed its name from Canning Professional and called Custom Media to handle the important job of total rebranding.
The original Canning Group was founded in London in 1965, and established a base in Tokyo in 1986. Today the company offers programs in training and international business consulting to more than 150,000 businesspeople worldwide. Thus, the rebranding needed to keep a diverse and global audience in mind.
Custom Media needed to carefully consider Canning & Associates’ clients, staff and trainers when tackling the brief. We quickly came up with a wide variety of concepts for Canning & Associates to choose from and created a variety of digital mockups of each design so that they could visualize the result.
As Custom Media gave Canning & Associates many options at an early stage in the process, they were able to narrow the field to a few front-runners in a short time. Our concepts and designs mirrored the personality of the company, showcasing its forward-thinking approach, strength in professional development, and career advancement.
As part of the rebranding, Custom Media designed their logo and complete set of business stationary including business cards, letterheads, and envelopes.
For the finalized logo we connected the “A” in both words with a directional icon.
The compass arrow symbolizes Canning’s services, which lead individuals and companies toward a better future. The upward arrow represents a positive direction.
We used a directional “A” icon on the letterhead, and we constructed a compass rose to complement the logo. This also helped to strengthen their message: navigating individuals and companies toward a better future.
Canning & Associates liked all of the rebranding options very much. The final design has given their brand a fresh, sharp and simple look.
They were very happy with the work Custom Media carried out and proudly unveiled their new branding and vision for the future at their 30th anniversary party.
