Silicon Valley Magazine Profiles Custom Media

Custom Media and President Robert Heldt were recently featured in the leading technology magazine CIO Advisor.

Custom Media and President Robert Heldt were recently featured in the leading technology magazine CIO Advisor. The Silicon Valley-based publication aims to create knowledge networks for technology professionals across the Asia–Pacific region and to serve as a next-generation advisor to chief information officers and their teams.

In CIO Advisor’s June issue, Custom Media was profiled as a top 10 APAC digital marketing consulting and services company for 2019. In the profile, Custom Media President and Co-founder Robert Heldt reflected on some of the company’s unique advantages.

One of them, he explained, is their integrated digital marketing approach, which enables considerable flexibility and adaptability: “It’s not just about getting your message out through one medium, or one channel, or one way of thinking. Content needs to be repurposed for a number of different channels. If you have content for a website, you have to think about how you can take that content and make a video out of it, or how you can use it to make a social media post. You want to be able to integrate the whole marketing channel so that whatever the end goal is—whether it be traffic to a website to raise brand awareness or sales conversions—the entire process should be seamless.”

It’s not just about getting your message out through one medium, or one channel, or one way of thinking. Content needs to be repurposed for a number of different channels.

Heldt highlighted Custom Media’s in-house team of editors, graphic designers, web developers, and video editors that works in tandem to create an efficient and open network of communication in the office and produce the best content for their clients. “Having all resources in-house is a big advantage. Our content creators and strategists can work together to produce branding messages, videos, websites, social media content and designs that meet the client’s goals. When these experts work under one roof, there is synergy, and they can more easily craft the right story.”

The profile provided an example of how Custom Media was able to make the most of these capabilities: the design of Rösti-kun, a mascot created for Swiss Delice’s Rösti food product. Using their integrated digital marketing approach and the free-flowing ideas from their in-house team, Custom Media helped introduce the product to Japan.

Heldt added that Custom Media is very much looking forward to projects with Tokyo Metropolitan Government related to the Rugby World Cup 2019 and the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, and to working with social media influencers to help promote tourism around Japan.
